John Edwards, the Democratic vice-presidential nominee has been getting quite a bit of attention recently. Particularly his background as a personal injury trial attorney. His skills helped juries award hundreds of millions of dollars to his clients, and made him a very wealthy man.

Other attorneys often would visit his courtroom just to observe him in action.

Do you know your sales closing ratios? Most salespeople actually don't know and when posed this question, they create a fictitious and somewhat flattering percentage. Of those who do know, most are still a little vague and give a general estimate. Not many can present statistical evidence to back up their claim, sighting many excuses.
